So I thought this movie was about prostitution. I was off on the story, but this movie is definitely erotically charged. The basics of the movie are Kutcher's character's narration of his life in Las Angeles. He once in awhile gives tips on how to continue having sex with the same woman and so on. I though the writing was good. It makes me wonder if LA is really this superficial or its the only perspective of the city that people want to see. I thought the character Nikki played by Kutcher was a huge douche bag. Good looks and all, how he managed to pick up women and keep them baffles me. The earring was a bit much. He was a flaming metrosexual and whoever did costumes, just went a bit too far. Anne Heche is smoking hot in this. I'm surprised I'm saying it, but it's true. The character Heather played by Margarita Levieva was both winning and losing. As you get to know the character, she becomes less sassy and more sad and cliche. Although I liked the movie, I wouldn't be recommending it, because the cliches were just too much, even though the writing and dialougue were decent. Since Nikki narrates his story of how he reached his peak, then hit rock bottom and then learned his life lesson, his lesson was meaningless, materialistic and superficial. I think I would leave LA if my life became as pathetic as his. How degrading his end is, yet he seems to wear it humbly, which seems unusual for his character, since he had so many dreams and not once tried to work for any of them for himself. This movie is worth a view, but I can't say that you'll like it.
