My Faraway Bride

I love Hollywood meets Bollywood movies. This one wasn't that great. This one is definitely the worst one I've watched. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't awful, it just wasn't all that good. These movies tend to run into cliches left, right and centre, but this one was drenched in it. It could have used more singing and dancing. And the English songs could have been written better. I liked the character Bobby .K. and his relationship with his past friend 'Chintu' whom he left behind, but never forgot and has been waiting to make amends and has a chance to once he runs into her on his current Bollywood set. Since I liked the side story, I'm going to forget all about the main story, because that part wasn't well written. The idea of the story was good, but it got lost somewhere in the writing and the acting. It reminds me of Dim Sum Funeral, and I get the feeling that it probably has the same background story on how the movie got made. If you're looking for a good Bollywood meets Hollywood film, this isn't it.
