Assassination of a High School President.

So I've been waiting to see this movie for awhile. This was a great little film. There was only three things wrong with. It had too many high school cliches, the casting was perfect except for Mischa Barton and the ending didn't fit the genre. Why I loved this movie was because it was a classic detective fiction piece meets high school. I think detective fiction can still be done without having to be "original" by having it played out in a high school setting. The style of the story played so close to detective fiction dialogue and plot. The dialogue in this is great. In fact, most the time it was witty and smart. Funke played by Reece Thompson has lines like ’ I’m on like your sister’s pink elastics on her brace’s. I’m really bad for remembering lines from movies, but the writing was fantastic and Reece played the role great. The only thing about detectives is that they are sexy and rugged and never have problems getting the girl and Funke was was short, nerdy and so not able to pick up girls, even if he tried. I cant’t forget to talk about Bruce Willis in this. He was hilarious. I wish he played these kinds of roles more often. His attitude in this was similar to when he played ’himself’ in What Just Happened. Although I did remember one of his lines correctly. “I asked you, is. That. Gum. In. YOUR MOUTH!!!” And then Funke’s response was f***ing hilarious. Too find out, you’ll just have to watch this movie.
