This was amazing. I'm glad I chose not to read the book because its possible that I would have liked the film less than I do now. I loved the scenery, the characters... the sexual tension was explosive. I read a review that made the non-sex in the film like a metaphor for AIDS. I don't see it. Maybe other STI's, but AIDS? I wasn't aware that it was still an epidemic in the U.S. I'm sure Edward didn't have sex with anyone after being a vampire. I think that's a bit of a stretch. Pattinson and Stewart were incredible together. I thought that all the students were bizarrely nice to her and were already talking about her before she came to Forks, but I guess that was in the book, which seemed unrealistic, even for a small town. Unless the movie never depicted her being popular because of her father being the chief of police in the town. Either way, I could watch this movie mutliple times and still enjoy it as much as the first time.
