I really liked this film. I urge you to watch it. There was just so much that I appreciated. I didn't appreciate Claire Forlani. I'm not sure why I don't like her, but I just don't. I liked the music, except the credit song didn't make sense to me at all. I was surprised that Eve could act. The best line that comes out of her mouth is "your a disgrace to white people." I really liked the flashbacks too. I like the music scene where young Joe and Ruth sing. In the flashbacks you really see why Joe is such an asshole. All events change people in certain ways and the film shows the changes in the characters. I thought it was brilliant. It could have used a few less sex scenes. Especially in the flashback.
