I wasn't sure whether I wanted to watch this one or not. I thought that Norton and Farrell were brothers, but they were brothers-in-law which made it easier to swallow. I love when the good guys do the right thing. I love when the bad good guys do the right thing too. These cop movies are like Western movies thrown into an modern urban society. The same vices of human beings hasn't changed since the ancient times. This movie reminded me why I think most people are not good by nature and why I'm ashamed to be a human some times. The acting was great. I thought Voigt's character needed a slap in the face. It would have been nice if Farrell's wife got some more face time, especially in the end, but alas, that didn't happen. It was a good gritty cop/crime/drama and this has been the first once since We Own the Night that was good, or maybe this was the only one after. Either way, this movie shouldn't disappoint.
