I'm not going to lie, this isn't my favourite Woody Allen film. I do appreciate that Allen is now making films in which he doesn't star in, although, Scoop was hilarious in his last performance in his films. After watching this, my sister and I started debriefing the film and she mentioned to look at the forums in imdb. I was actually disgusted by the lack of critical knowledge by the buffoons who posted on that particular forum. Either people thought it was horrible or the bad English accents by both McGregor and Farrell. For one, neither of them are American, they both are from the UK and neither of them did any other accent than the one they actually have. IDIOTS. What comes to mind was the awful music. I always enjoy Allen's picks, but this was just bad. The film also had a bit of Matchpoint decisions like the hiding in the apartment and choosing a gun. It was ironic, there was foreshadowing and there was duality between all the characters. The brothers and the girlfriends to be a bit more precise. I also enjoyed the play on words of the title throughout the film. I couldn't quite remember which Greek myth this was but once I checked it out, I remembered clearly. The title fits well with a lot of things going on in the film. I do have to say that the poster looks better than the film, but like any Allen fan, this one is definitetly worth watching. You can decide for yourself whether you like it or not.
