The Happening

So M. Night Shyamalan's movies are either a hit or miss. I watched it Friday night, but I couldn't conclude whether I liked it or not. I was actually quite neutral about it. After a few days, I have decided that it wasn't very good. I don't think the neurotransmitter blocking chemical that causes people to commit suicide was highly unlikely. VERY unlikely. It had the feel of global warming and the environment, which for some reason turned me off. It had the same humour, a really scary lady, and.... I dunno. This was not very good. I did though, think that the opening titles were brilliant. I also thought that movie score by Howard something was very fitting. Maybe his next film will be better. To be clear, nothing really happened. Unlike Iron Man which also had nothing happening, it didn't keep the audience interested. It had some horror in it that was slightly off tilt. I saw some things that were maybe just for the shock value and not on a realistic level. The whole committing suicide... I didn't like too much. I would not recommend nor tell anyone not to see it. M. Night is just the kind of director that you need to base your own opinions on.
